Incredible day ice climbing for the first time! Peter and Ben are wonderful instructors that were encouraging, and gave clear instructions and advice. Recommend them highly and have the utmost respect for this guiding school, as i have used then 3 times now!
My first time out in backcountry and wasn't sure what to expect. Dave, our guide was excellent with explaining everything from equipment to avalanche info to terrain awareness. And he didn't just talk, he showed us as we went when we entered different snow levels and conditions. We weren't hurried, he made sure to take breaks to have us catch up and get a breath before moving on. Excited to continue more backcountry skiing experiences with Golden Mountain Guides.
I attended an Intro to Ice Climbing course in February 2025 with GMG, and it was amazing!!! Peter and Ben were our guides, and they were the nicest humans, very knowledgeable and kind. I can’t wait to take another course or climbing session with Golden Mountain Guides, I highly highly recommend them!!!
I have used golden mountain guides for the four trips. First flatiron east face direct, third flatiron east face, north table rock climb and clear creek canyon rock climb. Both guides I had were very knowledgeable of the routes and made me feel comfortable. It was a very enjoyable experience.
