I took AIARE 1 with them through the Washington Alpine Club. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about avalanche safety. Our instructor, Patrick, was very thorough and I appreciated his close attention to detail and being safe. I will definitely come back for more classes and expeditions!
If I didn't have the pesky labors of work, I would book myself on all the Kaf trips. I've now had the pleasure of participating in a variety of Kaf courses - a 4 month long rock climbing mentorship program, a one day avalanche rescue clinic and the online sport climbing course with a range of Kaf guides, each of whom bring expertise, trustworthiness and professionalism to their jobs. They are passionate, knowledgeable, patient and very safe and they will inspire confidence as you learn new skills and broaden your experiences outside. Special shoutouts to Woody who leads the rock mentorship and Patrick who taught my avi rescue clinic - both understood my own abilities even before I did and set the appropriate level of challenge for me to feel really dialed in. Amber and the admin team are also great to work with, very patient when answering questions about bookings and schedules etc. And of course, to Mick for building such a great team, setting the standards and developing the philosophy for the kind of mentorship and learning I am looking for.
Took my SPI course from Woody and Mick, it was a blast. Highly recommend.
What a great experience and client care. Due to the airline systems going down I missed my climb with another company. I found Kaf Adventures and left a message on a Saturday hoping to make new plans. Within an hour i got a response from Mick and he helped arrange a last minute climb of Mt. Hood. I was very stressed out and he was amazing making adjustments that best worked for me. The topper was a great guide on Drew who also was amazing. They helped turned a stressful situation into a summit of Mt. Hood. Glad I found this company.
