Had an absolutely phenomenal experience on my 5 day Baker course with NWAG. The skills curriculum is very comprehensive and well-taught. Lots of opportunity for hands-on practice was provided, with careful assessment and useful feedback. Our guides Ty and Brandon created an environment that was fun and easy to learn in, and they answered all of our questions with tireless enthusiasm. I felt completely prepared for the summit climb, and everyone in our group made it with smiles on our faces, thanks in large part to the perfect pacing and careful communication from our guides. This amazing five days has really lit a fire under me to take what I learned and continue to build on it for bigger objectives to come. P.S. Brandon is a master knot man - he taught us a particularly intricate one that blew my mind. If you get him as a guide, mention this and ask him to show you!

I had a pleasure taking a 5 day Mt Baker course with NWAG this month. We had great guides, who had a wealth of combined experience. The course was very safety oriented, which is great for beginner climbers. We were taught basic skills with great patience and in the end I was able to tackle my first summit. I would absolutely recommend Northwest Alpine Guides to anyone, who wishes to climb Baker as their first peak.

I recently did a 6-day expedition training course on Mount Baker. While the weather was less than ideal, the guides (Ty, Matthew, and Brandon) were remarkable. They made every effort to teach us the skills we signed up to learn while maintaining our safety during a snowstorm that dumped quite a bit of snow on us overnight. Because of the storm, we were unable to summit, but I felt completely safe with their guidance and experience. I would highly recommend Northwest Alpine Guides.

Highly recommend Northwest Alpine Guides! This was my second climb with them in a couple years and both experiences were outstanding. Just finished Eldorado Peak, which was a great climb, especially due to the experience and skill of our guides - Victoria Garvin and Brian Johnson. Dennis (owner) runs a great operation, Seth was super helpful over the phone, and Vic and Brian really made the climb one to remember. Even with great conditions, successfully getting the entire group to summit required expert pacing, motivation and knowledge of group dynamics. I can't say enough about how much Brian and Victoria added to the overall experience (pretty sure I speak for our entire climbing group here). Thanks for your knowledge, patience and guidance - it was a privilege to climb with and learn from you guys! NWAG is a great group, really can't recommend them enough. Looking forward to coming back next year!
