Ab Expeditions

We did the classic Inca Trail 4 day hike in October 2024. We had an incredible experience and would highly recommend the trek and tour company. Our guide, Ricardo, was amazing! He was very encouraging and set a nice hiking pace which allowed us to enjoy our trip. He was very knowledgeable about the trail and the historical sites. Machu Picchu was of course incredible.

Me and my boyfriend booked the Lares trek to experience the Andes and have a few days in nature - but we still wanted a comfortable trip with good food. AB Expeditions was the perfect choice! With us we had our guide Amilcar, who could tell us so many interesting things about the area, the people living in the Andes and the history of Machu Picchu and the incas (Where we ended our trip). He was also a really fun and comfortable person to spend four days with and he had a great sense of humour! We really enjoyed our conversations and jokes with him. With us we also had our chef, Sergeo, who made the BEST food - each meal was absolutely perfect and we were really well fed the entire trip. We also had our horseman, Grimaldo, who was so friendly and helpful. We really recommend this trek - its a bit off the beaten path and you won’t encounter many other hikers, but thats what made it truly special and serene for us. You will also see a ton of beautiful llamas and alpacas 🦙 Thank you for a great 4 days!

We recently completed a two day Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu tour with Jacob from AB expeditions. Everything was faultless from start to finish. Great communication before the tour including a phone call to run through all the details and timings for Macchu Picchu. Jacob was superb, his knowledge of all the sites and history was remarkable. He made a real effort to ensure we got to see all the best sites.

Well, where to begin! It has been such an adventure/experience/life- time memories doing the Lares trek, and Machu Picchu! Me and my boyfriend was such good taken care of, from beginning to end. AB expedition kept their promise, and made sure the trip went effective, fine, and professional all the way. The food, crew, tent, nature, hotel (the last night before Machu Picchu), arrangements etc., has been absolutely perfect- thank you so much! Especially thanks to our professional guide during the whole trip: Rosel! Sullpayki! Ps. The whole crew was super:)

Had the most amazing experience! AB Expeditions gave us incredible porters, the best guide I've had with any tour company (I've been on a few different tours around the world), his name was Tony Montaña, and were lucky enough to be put with another very adventurous and fun couple. Would 10/10 recommend, especially if you are not sure whether the 4 day hike is worth doing when you can do Machu Picchu in 1 day. Definitely do the 4 days if you are in decent enough shape to walk up a lot of stairs.
