Alpinistas Adventures

Great cold weather skills in Yosemite with guide Sarah. Lots of laughing plus learning, what a great combination. I grilled her with so many questions, and she remained patient and helpful throughout. I definitely gained confidence that I can survive and thrive in the cold weather, especially with the tips learned on this weekend with Sarah.

Useful classroom information to get the gist of gear followed by a fun snowshoeing adventure with others new to the activity, guided by Sarah who was great!

The most incredible experience. I learned so much, Jen, our guide, was the absolute best and such a gem! She made learning fun, she was encouraging throughout, and was so accommodating! I can’t wait for my next Aplinistas Adventure! Highly encourage to build your community with women that love the outdoors as much as you all while learning and pushing yourself to try something new each time! Had an excellent time traveling with this team. I had a lot of questions that I felt like I was being annoying but their customer service rep was really kind and patient. She gave me more than enough information to make me feel prepared enough to go on the backpacking trip. The fitness plan and high altitude guide really helped me to be prepared, more so that the other women on the trip. I met the owner briefly who was also really nice. OMG the food was beyond. I expected pretty basic wilderness meals but our guides really crafted gourmet meals with fresh ingredients. Really impressed. I'd travel with them again.

I just completed a women's beginner backpack (2 nights @ North Dome) b/c I felt I needed a refresher as it had been a while since I had gone backpacking, and I'm still pretty new to the Sierra. Sarah is the most amazing guide. Sarah started out our trip asking what skills we wanted to work on. We had various levels of skillset and wilderness comfort levels in our group; Sarah actively checked-in with us, ensuring she provided as much hands on/off guidance as requested. Whenever asked questions about trails, apps, research, gear, Sarah was a wealth of information. At the end of our trip, all of us accomplished our goals, and I'm confident we'll be meeting again on the trails. I can't say enough to Sarah empowering us to conquer our fears and plan our next backpacking trips.
