Andean Ascents

Would recommend to anyone! These guys are worth a long review (written below). Had an awesome time with Andean Ascents! Did the 2 day Huayna Potosi climb (my first alpine trek) and loved it. Super professional instruction & guidance from Cecilio to get us safely up to the top (our mix of French/Spanish/English worked perfectly), and delicious food from Jaime when we got back down. Felt totally safe the whole time, and loved just hanging out with them too! Have to give a special shout out to Paola as well, master of logistics. She was so helpful and patient with us in getting our trek set up on 2 days notice, (gear, guides, payment etc.) So friendly as well, she even met up with us after the trek to explore Valle de las Animas outside La Paz! Overall would recommend Andean Ascents to anyone. We'll be back to Bolivia for more!

I had an incredible week in the mountains with Andean Ascents. Alex is incredibly well organised and tailored an experience that would help me acclimatise before attempting my main objectives. The guide, cook and driver we absolutely fantastic, incredibly well qualified and organised. I climbed 3 peaks, finishing with Huyana Potosi, all were fantastic. I really could not have asked for anything more and would recommend them wholeheartedly. I will definitely be back to Bolivia, a beautiful country. Thank you especially to Cecilio and Francisca!

Had a wonderful tour with Alex on the Huayna Potosi. Despite the last-minute request, everything was perfectly organized and worked perfectly. I was able to borrow perfect equipment for the tour and always felt that I was guided competently and safely, according to my abilities and condition. Very good agency and very appreciable state of mind. Alex the owner knows very well how to manage great private expeditions and has very good teams of guides and drivers. We hardly recommend the agency for private mountainering and even for uyuni and sud lipez. We traveled with andean ascents in pequeno alpamayo, illimani, huayna potosi, sajama, pomerape and a 5 days trip in uyuni including licancabur and thunupa volcanoes. Everything went very well and the agency was very flexible. A must, with acceptable prices! Great agency with a great mindset. Alex, French-speaking Swiss, and high mountain guide knows how to organize private expeditions very well and has a great team of guides and drivers (local contacts like at Sajama Tops too). After having traveled quite a bit with the agency (mountain climbing: pequeno alpamayo, illimani, huayna potosi, sajama, pomerape a 5-day trip to the Salar d'uyuni and south Lipez with 2 volcano ascents), we highly recommend the agency who is super flexible and listens. And Alex is very nice, which doesn't spoil anything... the prices for private expeditions are very reasonable, especially compared to the big French agencies established in Bolivia which are 2 to 3 times more expensive for... seems to me t it has the same benefits!

The splendid landscapes, the varied program, the top logistics, the professional supervision, the good meals and the adequate equipment to cope with the capricious weather made our two weeks organized by Andean Ascents unforgettable!!
