Nachdem wir nun schon zwei Touren im Himalaya durchgeführt hatten, wollten wir endlich eine Tour zum Everest-Base-Camp starten. Diesmal aber nicht über eine deutsche Reiseagentur, sondern es sollte eine Privattour werden. Von der ersten Kontaktaufnahme mit Gelu bis zum Ende der Tour sind wir begeistert von der professionellen Betreuung/ Begleitung. Gelu reagiert sehr schnell auf Anfragen/Wünsche und macht das dann passend. Bei Gelu spürt man seine jahrelanger Erfahrung als Guide. Er ist ständig bemüht, das Optimale für seine Gäste z. B. in den Lodges herauszuholen. Da wir nur zu zweit unterwegs waren, konnten wir die eine oder andere Annehmlichkeit in der Lodge genießen (z. B. „Elektrobett“ 😎 - Wärmedecke). Gelu ist bei seinen Kollegen und den Lodge-Inhabern ein gern gesehener Geschäftspartner. Eine Touränderung, um einen anderen Rückweg einzuschlagen, hatte Gelu innerhalb 10 Minuten erstellt, bzw. die geänderten Übernachtungen und den Lukla Flug umgebucht. Auch bei unserem anschließenden Aufenthalt in Kathmandu, war Gelu stets hilfsbereit. Wir können Gelu uneingeschränkt als professionellen Guide empfehlen.

After we had already done two tours in the Himalayas, we finally wanted to start a tour to Everest Base Camp. This time not through a German travel agency, but rather a private tour. From the first contact with Gelu to the end of the tour, we are thrilled with the professional support/accompaniment. Gelu responds very quickly to inquiries/requests and then makes them suitable. With Gelu you can feel his years of experience as a guide. He constantly strives to provide the best for his guests, e.g. B. to get out in the lodges. Since there were only two of us, we were able to enjoy one or two amenities in the lodge (e.g. “electric bed” 😎 - heated blanket). Gelu is a welcome business partner among his colleagues and the lodge owners. Gelu made a tour change to take a different return route within 10 minutes, or rebooked the changed overnight stays and the Lukla flight. Even during our subsequent stay in Kathmandu, Gelu was always helpful. We can fully recommend Gelu as a professional guide.

Als nepalbegeisterte Gruppe von Freunden haben wir Gelu bereits 2018 bei einem großen Trek kennen und schätzen gelernt.
Nach den Lockdowns war jetzt im Herbst 2021 die Freude umso größer, mit Gelus Unternehmen Berg Reisen Nepal endlich wieder auf einen großen und anspruchsvollen Trek (Manaslu Circuit) zu gehen. Dabei zahlte sich Gelus Erfahrung aus: exzellente sichere und zuverlässige Organisation, viel Wissen zu Orten, Menschen und Wegen und eine exzellente Flexibilität im Umgang mit den Herausforderungen der Natur und der Gegend sind für Gelu und seine Kollegen selbstverständlich. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Umsicht von Gelu, dass bis hin zu den Trägern alle Gäste und Mitarbeiter fair und professionell behandelt werden und zum Beispiel auch die Träger neben den obligatorischen Versicherungen eine sichere Ausrüstung haben wie bergfeste Schuhe und Gerödel.
Als kleine Gruppe hatten wir Dank Gelus Engagement unterwegs wunderbare Momente und unvergessliche Erlebnisse mit und bei den Menschen vor Ort.
Vielen Dank an Gelu und seine Kollegen für eine großartige Zeit in Nepal - wir freuen uns auf das nächste Wiedersehen zu einer gemeinsamen Expedition!

As a Nepal-loving group of friends, we got to know and appreciate Gelu during a big trek in 2018.
After the lockdowns, the joy was even greater in autumn 2021 to finally be able to go on a large and demanding trek (Manaslu Circuit) again with Gelu's company Berg Reisen Nepal. Gelu's experience paid off: excellent, safe and reliable organization, a lot of knowledge about places, people and routes and excellent flexibility in dealing with the challenges of nature and the area are a matter of course for Gelu and his colleagues. We were particularly impressed by Gelu's thoughtfulness, that all guests and employees, including the porters, are treated fairly and professionally and, for example, the porters also have safe equipment such as mountain-proof shoes and gear in addition to the mandatory insurance.
As a small group, thanks to Gelu's commitment, we had wonderful moments and unforgettable experiences with and with the local people along the way.
Many thanks to Gelu and his colleagues for a great time in Nepal - we look forward to seeing you again for a joint expedition!

Mit Gelu hat es wie immer sehr gut geklappt. Wir hatten 2 tolle Träger und ich einen guten Climbing Guide. Die Unterkünfte waren sehr gut und auch in Kathmandu hat uns Gelu nachher noch sehr unterstützt, bezüglich unserem Patenkind und Besuchen von 2 Schulen🙏👍
