First Environmental Trekking

First time to Nepal and we LOVED IT!! Travelling with family 3 kids and 3 over 70, 9 of us in total and Thakur took care of all the details very well. His team arranged everything from airport pick up to drop off and all in between. Accommodation was perfect for us. A group af 5. The oldest was 70 the youngest 60. For two of them it was their second- and two others their first visit in the impressive Himalay Range. To make this work I contacted my dear friend Thakur Raj Pandey, senior vice president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association and managing director of the First Environmental Trekking, Expediton & Tour LTD company. We both discussed over email an Itinerary for the 4 who would cross the Thorong La pass (5416 m) and another itinerary for me, waring a brace for my worn out left knee....We started toghetter, then splitted in Nagdi and came back together in Mukthinath. It was an unforgetable experience. Especialy for the frist time visitors. Thakur provided our group with two porters and a guide to get over the Thorong La Pass and I had a very skilled driver who brougth me from Nagdi to Pokhara. There I had 5 days on my own, as requested, and did some sightseeing, took a bus to Lumbini stayed there a couple of days and went back to Pokhara where I met my porter. We drove to Kagbeni by private and electric Toyota Hiace and then walked up to Mukthinath to rejoin the group. From there we went together over Marpha to Tatopani where we splitted again. The group went to Poon Hill and from there back to Pokhara where met again. We stayed two nights in Pokhara and then went on to Chitwan for a Jeep Safari and from there we drove to Nagarkot where we stayed one night in an utmost luxury hotel with a dashing view of the whole Himalaya Range from Dualaghiri to beyond Everest. From there we went back to Kathmandu and stayed there for two nights before flying back to Belgium. You must be a verry skiled and experienced company to pull this combination off with a goup of people over 60....but The FIRST ENVIRONMENTAL TREKKING company is just all of that! They're simply the best, better than all the rest!

9 extraordinary days in the Annapurna. Organisation was perfect, flexible and reactive. The 2 guides were top, always available and helpful. We highly recommend to organise your tour with this company.

Despite all the difficulties due to the flood in September 2024 and the weather-related cancellation of flights to Lukla for 5 days, we had a great trekking. First Environmental Trekking and our guide Nima Tashi Sherpa kept reorganizing spontaneously. As a plan B, we were able to start the trek by jeep and on foot. Everything always worked out, we had nice accommodations, great views, good food and a lot of fun. Even though I'm not that sporty, it was easily manageable - our guide always adapted to my pace. I can highly recommend FET. Be sure to book with an organization directly in Nepal. It's cheaper and the money goes where it's needed.

I went trekking in Lang Tang Valley using First Environmental Trekking. Thakur Raj Pandey made the whole process simple and flexible to my budget/timeframe/needs. This trip wasan incredible experience of the Himalayas without the crowds. My guide, Pasang, so easy going - able to tailor our trekk to suit my walking pace, and generously sharing his knowledge of the history and culture of Nepal.
