We booked a puma tracking tour expecting an exciting day of hiking and wildlife spotting, but unfortunately, the experience was a huge disappointment. Instead of the promised hikes, we spent the entire day sitting in the car.

One of the biggest letdowns was the binocular situation. The booking clearly stated that each participant would have a binocular included in the package, yet our guide had only one—and it was broken. Despite our concerns, he insisted it was functional. As a result, we missed our chance to see the pumas properly. By the time we finally convinced the guide to find a working pair, it was too late—the pumas were gone.

Another frustrating issue was that we couldn’t actually walk anywhere. The guide told us that all the surrounding areas were private property, meaning we had to stay in the vehicle the entire time. This was incredibly misleading, as the tour was advertised as a hiking experience.

Overall, this tour did not deliver on its promises, and we left feeling frustrated and misled. If you’re looking for a real hiking and wildlife experience, we strongly suggest looking elsewhere. You can also see on the picture, that other people (who booked a tour with another company  are staying close to pumas and WALKING).

We have total 6 friends went to Torres Del Paine National park and arranged by Flashpacker Connect with Romina. She is really nice and very detailed help us to set up Refugio stay. She responded all our questions at very much timely manner. Our trip from 11/23~11/27 for 5days/4nights. We all 6 ladies around 50's old and we finished 5day trails with a little bit longer than usually these young people hiker. Trails are little bit hard and we are still managed on time. Wealth was great except first day had snow at for Base of Tower, rest of 4 days are nice sunny with blue sky, no crazy wind which we are so lucky. The Eco Camp was absolutely a fun-tastic way to go glamping! Enjoyed every bit of it...food was top-notch; a fine-dining-worth-level. The staff were awesome especially our guides, Cris Ibarra & Fabian Briones. The room had a fun-tastic vibe with very comfortable bed, pillows, comforters & towels; clean & kept fresh & tidied daily. We had the Standard Dome. The common bathrooms/restrooms were not that far from the rooms. The dining/common areas were fun, spacious & lively. They made really good Pisco Sour :-)) 
The massage room was very nice, conducive to relaxation with nice views outside. The therapist was also great. The drivers were very good too; not one was in a hurry or drove recklessly. At the Paine Grand Camp; the food was great too. Their amenities were clean. The camp was busy & lively. Ground transport/transfers were on time.

We know that the daily hikes will not be that easy (especially with the long mileage) but boy, every step was worth it. The views, trails, fauna & flora & the mountains were just as spectacular to see & experience in person as you see them in books or movies. The whole experience was exhilarating! The iconic towers of Torres del Paine...nature at its best!
