G Adventures

The Inca Trail 4D/3N adventure with G Adventures was a fantastic experience. I would recommend this to others thinking of doing the Inca Trail. Our guides Paolo and Edson really made the trip worth it. Shoutouts to the Porters and Chefs who did the real work in keeping our group going. The trek was well organized and I didn't need to worry about anything other than making it to Matchu Picchu. The trek took us up Dead Woman's pass, to the Sun Gate, and the scenic view of Matchu Picchu. We got lucky with clear skies during the rainy season.

GAdventures are an excellent company offering brilliant itineraries at great prices. The support and care that I have received through incredubly challenging times has been phenomenal. When my itinerary had to be amended, GAdventures always ensured a representative was waiting for me and the reps have been a source of logistical and emotional support at every step. Everyone has bent over backwards to make me feel cared for and ther organisation has been flawless. I cannot praise them enough!

Nothing to complain about whatsoever, you do the walking, and they give you incredible insight into the incan culture, and various sites. The perfect way to experience macchu picchu. Porters, chefs, and guides all doing their job to perfection, and geniuenly enjoying it aswell.

We hiked the Inca Trail as part of a longer G Adventures trip around Peru. Uriel was a fabulous guide - he pointed out lots of flora and fauna along the trail. He was also incredibly patient when we needed to go slowly (the trail is pretty challenging in places!). We have great memories of the four days we spent hiking and camping. We have to mention the superhuman porters, who basically ran the trail carrying 25kg of kit each - incredible! Seriously, Olympic athletes have nothing on those guys!

I went with G Adventures on their Amazon to the Andes trip this month. We did a 26 mile trek on the Inca Trail over 4 days, and it was the most amazing experience! Our guide Rene was exceptional with our group of trekkers ranging from ages 35 to 76. He knew how to encourage us when the going got tough, and it was because of him that everyone in our group made it safely to Machu Picchu. His knowledge of the area and the Inca civilization was very well-rounded and really enhanced our experience. The porters and cooks who accompanied us were outstanding too. We were supported and well-fed during our time on the trail, and it was such a great feeling to arrive at camp after a very hard climb to the applause of the crew! They were amazing to watch as they cruised by us on the trail carrying 5x the weight we were carrying in our packs! They really worked hard to make our adventure a success. The only tip I would give to those considering hiking the Inca Trail is to consider spending more time in Cusco before and after the trek. Two days after we finished, we went to the Amazon for 3 days and it was difficult to transition to and immerse ourselves in such a different environment. There is so much to see in Cusco and the surrounding areas, but this gives us an excuse to return! I highly recommend using G Adventures if hiking the Inca Trail is on your bucket list. We really appreciate the fact that G Adventures partners with local communities so that they are helped, not hurt, by tourism. We saw the results of their partnerships in the communities we visited during our tour. We plan to use this company to explore other countries in the future.
