I went on a trek to EBC, Lobuche Peak, and Island Peak with Himalayen Masters. It was an amazing experience with beautiful conditions. It is clear that the trip went smoothly because the company, and especially my guide Bage, worked tirelessly to ensure everything went well. Bage was a wonderfully cheerful and positive guide who was very approachable. He had many acquaintances in the mountains and met up with a lot of friends, which was really nice, as it made you always feel welcome and well taken care of. In addition to his positive attitude, he always checked how I was doing and made sure I was satisfied. I was on the trip in April 2024, and at that time Bage spoke quite good English. It was fine for the necessary communication, and I expect he will only improve more and more. I can really recommend Himalayen Masters and Bage as a guide if you’re planning a mountain trip in Nepal.

My dad and I spent 8 days in Nepal, with a 4 day tracking. For the whole trip we had amazing service, with private car, all the needed items for tracking and wonderful guides. If you are looking for a travel company, that will fill all your needs for adventure and meanwhile creating connections between people, then Himalayan masters is the best choice. I will definitely come back to Nepal, and I will definitely use this travel company again:)

Himalayan Masters Adventure and Travel Company, located in Thamel, Kathmandu, is expertly managed by Sandip Dhungana. Sandip served as the primary point of contact for the entire trip and helped with all the planning prior to my arrival in Nepal. He was very responsive on both whatsapp and email. I’m especially grateful for his patience and flexibility in accommodating numerous changes to my itinerary that happened due to varied reasons. Upon my arrival in Nepal, I visited his office where he briefed me about the trek. He provided me with a trek map, a duffel bag, a Nalgene water bottle, chlorine tablets , cap, etc. (all complimentary). Additionally, Sandip can also help you borrow you essential gear for free - sleeping bag, down jacket, crampons, etc. I didn't have a down sleeping bag and took it from Sandip for the duration of the trip. They can also store your luggage at their office, if needed. Sandip was also kind to offer to transfer my luggage directly to Pokhara from Kathmandu, because I was planning to visit Pokhara right after the trek. My guide was Dharma and porter was Subash. We were supposed to do the Nar Phu valley trek. However, I couldn't complete the trek because of health issues. Dharma was prompt in suggesting an alternative, and I got to spend some additional time in Meta, Koto, and Manang. I am sad I could not go up to Kang la pass, but at the same time happy because I got to see some of the most beautiful landscapes! Thank you, Dharma was arranging that. Subash, the porter, has super human strength! He can carry more than 30-35 kgs of weight up and down challenging slopes with ease! .... and he does it faster than anyone! ..... Unbelievable strength! I have tremendous respect for the guides and porters in Nepal for their strength, skill, and above all the fact that they sometimes risk their own lives to protect yours. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Himalayan Masters for trekking trips in Nepal. Everything was systematically organised. They are connected to do a vast number of guides, and porters and offer treks in multiple regions.

To whom it may concern – perhaps a future adventurer to Nepal, My partner, Jacob, and I traveled with Himalayan Masters in November 2024, and overall, it was an amazing experience, detailed below. The planning of the trek was conducted via email with Sandip, the owner of the company, who was incredibly accommodating, highly knowledgeable about various routes, and excellent at communicating in English. This made the planning process smooth, and he was adept at steering us in the "right" direction based on our previous trekking experience and skill level. Initially, we had planned to go on the trek in spring 2024, but due to a knee injury, Sandip was flexible and rescheduled to autumn without any additional costs—a level of service we deeply appreciated. We ended up planning a 3.5-week trek in the Everest region, based on the Three Passes Trek, to which we added several day hikes, such as to Amadablam Base Camp, Chukkung Ri, Island Peak Base Camp, Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, and Gokyo Ri. These extra days in the mountains delivered amazing views, and we would recommend everyone with time enough to do it. In general, the route was flexible, allowing us to adjust the number of days as needed. This flexibility meant we could account for illness, take extra days for altitude acclimatization, or simply spend more time exploring an area in depth. This aspect provided us with great peace of mind, both before and during the journey. During the trek, we were accompanied by Govandi Basnet (guide) and Tej Rai (porter), both of whom grew up near Lukla and know the local community and area like the back of their hands. From the outset, they were fantastic companions, with extensive knowledge of Nepal's and the Sherpa people's history, along with fascinating anecdotes about the mountains. As individuals, they were incredibly kind, thoughtful (e.g., they checked in with us every day to see how we were feeling), and patient (e.g., with photography, which we are passionate about). At the same time, they were funny and quick to laugh. Simply put, we couldn’t have asked for better company than these two gentlemen, and if you have the chance to request a guide and porter, we wholeheartedly recommend them. As an unexpected bonus, upon our return to Lukla, we were fortunate enough to be invited to Govandi’s home, where we met his family and enjoyed the best Dahl Bhat of our time in Nepal. Simply amazing. Regarding accommodation, food, and logistics, everything was excellent. Govandi and Tej ensured we stayed at the best lodges, had access to good food, and were well-prepared to tackle the trek. When bad weather delayed our initial flight into the mountains, Sandip swiftly rebooked us onto a helicopter. Overall, we always felt everything was under control, regardless of who was handling the specific task at hand. The only challenge we encountered with Himalayan Masters was with the payment process, as their electronic payment system experienced some issues. Additionally, you should be aware that, beyond the amount quoted by Sandip, there is a 3.5% fee to account for.
