I genuinely cannot describe the most amazing 11 days trekking to Everest Base Camp with our incredible incredible guide Prakash. He took care of absolutely anything that we needed along the way and always making sure we were dealing with the altitude gain. He is not only an amazing guide but now an even more amazing friend. He put up with all of our huffing and puffing, woke up at 4am to take us to KalaPatthar and listened to my endless questions about birds and yaks always answering with wisdom and a smile. We had all of our meals included in the tour price and we were even given an awesome celebratory 4-course dinner and certificate back in Kathmandu upon completion. After witnessing other companies and how they run with their clients along the EBC trek, I cannot recommend Isicles enough if you are even slightly considering hiking the Himalayas. I will be back!!

We had a fantastic 14 day trek to Everest Base Camp at the start of February. The pre-trip communication from Icicles Adventures was good, meeting us at our hotel at a convenient time to talk through the trek. The travel organisation was very good and our guide, Mangale Gurung (Ram), was brilliant throughout, sharing information on the mountains and Buddhist culture as well as ensuring we had adequate breaks but could walk at our own pace too which meant the itinerary could be flexible too. The Acclimatisation Days in Namche, visiting Khunde Hospital, and Dingboche, summiting Nangkartshang hill, were particular highlights, alongside summiting Kala Patthar at sunset. When weather caused a problem getting back from Lukla, the icicles adventure team were able to organise a helicopter to travel back quickly too. The ethos of the company seems particularly good too, supporting and training female guides in this industry and our guide had been with the company for a number of years. Hopefully we will book another tour again with icicles adventures in future!

Our trip to Everest Base Camp (14 day all inc) was incredible. The trek itself was challenging but so rewarding and the views were incredible. Even though we went in off season we had gorgeous weather and stunning scenery and this meant we had a much quieter trail! Our guide Ram was the best, he got to know us and suggested excellent hikes on our Acclimatision Days suited to our likes and ambitions. Highlights included summitting Kalapatthar to watch sunset over Everest, visiting Kunde mountain hospital and summitting Nangkartshang along the way. Even though our good weather luck ran out on the very last day, Icicles Adventures were great in helping us organise a helicopter to get back to Kathmandu as all Lukla flights were cancelled. We felt well looked after and also challenged, a great trip thank you!
