Overland Trek Nepal

We arranged part of our honeymoon trip with Overland Trek Nepal, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. From the very first email exchange, Gautam was extremely professional, responsive, and clear. Planning a trip like this from abroad can feel overwhelming, but everything was handled with calm efficiency and great attention to detail, which immediately built trust. We completed the 14-day Manaslu Circuit trek, along with a short Tibet extension, and everything on the ground was perfectly organized. In Kathmandu, they took care of our hotel, airport transfers, dinners, and even a guided city tour. During our stay in the city, Anil Lamsal was with us throughout and was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. It made our arrival and preparation phase completely stress-free. On the trek itself, our guide Naba was exceptional. He combined deep knowledge of the region with a calm, reassuring presence that made us feel safe and well taken care of at every stage. Our porter, Dipas (apologies if I’m spelling the name incorrectly), was equally incredible—strong, reliable, and always smiling despite the demanding terrain. Their teamwork made the trek flow smoothly, allowing us to fully enjoy the landscapes, villages, and the authentic atmosphere of the Manaslu region. March turned out to be a perfect time to go: clear skies, stable weather, and breathtaking mountain views almost every day. The teahouses were comfortable and welcoming, and we always felt we were experiencing something genuine and rooted in local culture rather than a “tourist crowded version” of the Himalayas. Everything was arranged flawlessly in advance—permits, visas guidance, trekking equipment advice, logistics, and even thoughtful small gifts from the company at the end of the trip, which was a very nice touch. Overall, it felt like a perfectly balanced honeymoon adventure: well organized, deeply authentic, and made special by the people who accompanied us throughout the journey.

Overland Trek and our guide, Samrat, were excellent. We did the Shivapuri peak Day Hike at Shivapuri Narajun State Park. They picked us up at our hotel in Kathmandu, provided snacks and water, handled all expenses and government relations at Narajun State Park. We were looking for a challenging hike and it definitely delivered! It was wonderful too to see the monasteries and the hermitages, and sacred altars along the way. The special bonus was the very friendly Nepalese people also on the mountain. We were able to eat lunch at the top before our descent. If you're looking for a challenging hike escaping the city of Kathmandu, this is a must! Overland Trek was very easy to work with.

Me and my gf contacted the agency one month ago,l requesting for some restricted trail on the Himalayan region. Anil assisted us in everything and organised for us a full 23 days expedition. The day before the start we went with him to buy the gear trek ( we needed everything coming from Thailand) all the process was smooth and we were happy with what we bought (we used everything coming single piece of the gear). Having all included in our trip was very comfortable daily, just had to think about what we preferred to eat for meal. Our guide impressed us with his knowledge and experience, he guided us safely and successfully for 20 days on top of the world passing through two passes above 5000km. I can’t wait for the next trek there and I will contact this agency for sure for the incredible assistance and service they gave us!

An absolutely epic experience! We traversed all kinds of terrain and experienced views better than anywhere I’ve ever been. Our guide and porter were so amazing and made us feel so at home, they’ve become friends forever and have given us a life changing experience. They believed in us through the some of the hardest bits of trekking even when we thought we might not make it. They pushed us to be our best and made sure everything was looked after. We had great accommodation and food every night along the way, and they had great flexibility for our trip making sure we got to enjoy everything. I seriously can’t recommend overland trek Nepal and Gautam enough. They are an incredible company and always put the comfortability, safety and experience of their clients before anything else. It was an adventure of a lifetime and I’m so glad I got to meet and share the experience with such a great bloke. He’s more than a guide and businessman he’s a legend and a great bloke. If you’re ever in Nepal doing a trek choose overland you won’t regret it!!

Went to Nepal with my brothers and honestly, it turned out to be such a great experience. We booked the Nagarkot to Changunarayan full-day hike, 2 days rafting and paragliding with Overland Trek Nepal, and everything about it just felt easy and enjoyable. Our guide Gautam (we called him “Nick”) was amazing. We started calling him “the boss” because he literally took care of everything — timings, pace, making sure we were comfortable — so we could just relax and enjoy the hike without worrying about anything. The whole team was super warm and friendly, which made a big difference. It didn’t feel like a formal tour, more like we were just out exploring with good people. The views were beautiful and the hike itself was really nice, not too stressful but still fun. Overall, just a really good experience. We’re definitely coming back again to explore more with them!
