The North west ridge is the typical route these days, with one of two base camps to use (depending on whether you drive or walk in) and one high camp.

Where do I begin? Peru Adventures gave us a lifetime experience. Wil, our guide, was the only one of all the companies we contacted who willingly changed the route to fit our specific needs. Instructions and information was very clear from start, and we could rent clean sleeping bags from the company. On our hike, he made sure that we got to see all the best views, and was attentive to our physical possibilities. Ivan, the chef, surprised us every day with amazing food, and even served three course dinners. We were provided with more snacks than we could eat throughout the day. Another group’s donkey driver got drunk one day and lost the donkey, but ours was always on time and had set the tent with our stuff even before we came to camp each day. All in all, we could not have gotten a more comfortable and fantastic experience doing the Huayhuash trek with Peru Adventures.

Hicimos el trek de Huayhuash, y no pudimos estar mejor: equipo humano excelente (guías, cocineros, arrieros, ....), comodidades y material de expedición a la altura de las exigencias, y una atención muy cuidada.

Se nota cuando las cosas se hacen con dedicación, atención y cuidado.

El Huayhuash Trek es uno de los mejores trek del mundo. Peru Adventures lo organizó perfectamente y fue flexible para manejar nuestros problemas (¡el autobús se pinchó y llegamos 2 horas más tarde de lo esperado!).

Parte de mi mayor aventura en la vida: los viajes a Perú. Maravillosas vistas, fantásticas montañas altas, vida silvestre y gente amable alrededor. Todo bien organizado. Pero seguro para gente en buena forma física. El único inconveniente es caca de burro por todas partes; )
