We (I and my wife) joined a group tour to Lhasa, Tibet organized by Tibet Holidays. It was an over land trip and we had three other friendly people in the group. We passed through Kerung, Gyantse, Shigatse and a couple of other towns before finally reaching Lhasa. We visited some very famous monasteries in these places. And, of course visit to Everest Base Camp  North was a thrilling experience. We spent two days in Lhasa and visited the iconic Potala Palace and some temples and monasteries. We were met by our Chinese guide in the border who guided us and explained in details about all the monuments we visited. She seemed quite knowledgeable on the history and culture gave excellent briefing. In addition, she helped us to find good places to eat, especially for us vegetarians which is not easy due to language issue. She also guided us in shopping and provided other necessary assistance. The vehicle provided was comfortable, except for the first day in Nepal side which was rather congested. The hotels were good as well. Overall the program went as planned and we are happy with the services of Tibet Holidays.
