Tramping Himalaya

Dawa is, without a doubt, the best guide I’ve ever had on holiday—by a country mile! We completed the Everest Base Camp trek, and Dawa consistently adjusted the itinerary to suit our needs. From the very beginning, his friendly and approachable demeanor made it clear that we had chosen the perfect guide. I have no doubt that anyone associated with the Tramping Himalayas team would be just as personable, as they are likely handpicked by Dawa himself. Dawa’s extensive network across Nepal and the Himalayas meant we always had access to the best deals, the tastiest food, and the most comfortable accommodations. He was equally invaluable during our time in Kathmandu, providing excellent local recommendations and tips to help us navigate the city efficiently. Dawa’s compassion stood out, especially when some members of our group fell ill. He adapted the trek seamlessly to accommodate our changing circumstances. Our trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable without him.

I did the Base Camp trek with Dawa along with 3 others in December of 2024 and it was an exceptional experience. Dawa was very professional, the trip was well organised and Dawa ensured we had a positive time. He provided us with all the necessary equipment that we didn't have including gloves, hiking poles, warm jackets, and gators. The trek and each day was personalised to suit our own pace and needs. He ensured we stayed at the best accommodation available. Dawa is also so lovely and easy to talk to. His extensive experience as a trekking guide means he is very knowledgeable about the whole area and shared many great insights and stories with us. I cannot recommend a better guide to go through for a tour to EBC or any of the other treks in the area!

WOW WOW WOW Dawa is the best!! Seriously couldn't have asked for a more magical experience. My friends and I went and did the EBC trek in December in a group of 5. It took around 13 days and every day was amazing. Dawa Made the journey as best as it can be. He knew all the spots and made sure we were looked after (better than most others). His knowledge of the range is also phenomenal and his insights along the trek made it that much more special. I can't recommend Dawa more. He is the friendliest, funnest and best guide out there for sure!!
