Our trip with Wilderness Travel was nothing short of fabulous. All the excursions, hotels, and daily itineraries were spot on. I cannot imagine changing one thing. Our main guide was particularly wonderful. He was organized, listened, intuitive, knowledgeable and a really decent fellow.
We just finished the New Zealand: Ultimate South Island trip run by Wilderness, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The trip was well run, the set of activities matched the brochure, our guides (Chris & Karen) were terrific, and of course New Zealand is a beautiful place. There were a couple of hiccups around food, but the guides did everything in their power to resolve the concerns and keep the food and drink flowing. Highly recommend this trip for anyone considering it!
Recent trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand via Wilderness Travel was amazing. Great itinerary, local guides, hotels and optional activities. Highly recommend. Will definitely use them for future trips.
Cape Town and Zimbabwe
My family traveled to Cape Town and Zimbabwe with Wilderness Travel this summer and was blown away by the experience. Incredible wildlife viewing by safari jeep, mountain bike, train car, boat, and on foot. We spent lots of time in the look up blind watching elephants just a few feet away. (sooo many elephant babies!!), We also saw lions and cubs, giraffe, zebra, warthogs, hyenas. We spent time in the new rhino sanctuary learning about their reintroduction to the park and walking with the rhino. The conservation work Imvelo and Wilderness Travel are doing in the national park is so impactful. It felt good to know our money is contributing to the rhino sanctuary and helping to sustain the local school, medical clinic and surrounding villages there. We will certainly be traveling with Wilderness Travel again!
The best tour experience
I have been on 3 hiking trips: Norway, Slovenia and the most recent was Patagonia. Each trip was outstanding! Each accommodation was in a lovely location with delicious food, wonderful staff and great views from each bedroom. The trip leaders are informative, thoughtful, fun, personable and knowledgeable. The itinerary was created to include different locations with a mix of hiking and cultural experiences. The office staff is responsive and a delight to work with. I love traveling with Wilderness Travel and am now planning my next trip with them
